Information You Provide
- Flight Plans: When you import flight plans from SimBrief or VATSIM, we temporarily process this data to display checklists, weather information, and calculations
- App Settings: Your preferences for aircraft selection, voice settings, theme, and language
- Flight Statistics: Flight hours, distance traveled, countries visited, and achievements (stored locally on your device)
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App interactions, features used, crash reports, and performance data
- Location Data: We do NOT collect your physical location
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality
- Display flight plans, checklists, and weather information
- Calculate V-speeds, crosswind, and other flight parameters
- Track your flight statistics and achievements
- Send push notifications for weather alerts (with your permission)
- Improve the App's performance and user experience
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Respond to your support requests
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
Most of your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by iOS:

4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
SimBrief API
VATSIM API
AVWX API
- Purpose: Retrieve real-time METAR and TAF weather data
- Data Shared: Airport ICAO codes only

5. Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications for:
- Weather alerts 1 hour before your scheduled departure
- Adverse weather conditions at origin or destination airports
- App updates and new features (optional)
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Flight Plans: Stored locally until you delete them
- Flight Statistics: Stored locally permanently (unless you reset the app)
- Cached Weather Data: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
- Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days for debugging purposes
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all data stored in the App through the Settings screen
- Delete: Clear all flight plans, statistics, and cached data through the Settings screen
- Export: Export your flight statistics and achievements (feature available in Settings)
- Opt-Out: Disable push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting
8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
